In connection with registration for a trip or a technique training session/camp, a user/participant (the affected party) provides personal data via a form on the website; this is then processed by the appropriate member of staff. The affected party/contractual partner consents to his/her personal data (name, postal address, email address, date of birth, telephone number) being saved for the purpose of performance of contract, invoicing, and the sending of information about further Reisebüro Sendlhofer-Schag tour offers (newsletters).
Furthermore, the affected party agrees for data (name, passport number, telephone number) to be passed on to third parties (hotels, airlines, tour guides and partner-agencies – depending on the trip also in a third country, i.e. outside the EU) for implementation purposes (performance of contract). This consent may be withdrawn at any time, by contacting Reisebüro Sendlhofer-Schag.
Communication with us
If you make contact with us via a form on our website or by email, in order to deal with your enquiry (and any potential follow-up queries) we will retain the data you have provided for six months.
During our tours/training sessions, photographs will be taken by guides and other members of staff. During the registration process via our online form (checkbox), the affected party consents to the use of these photographs by Reisebüro Sendlhofer-Schag for promotional purposes, until such time as that consent is withdrawn. The customer undertakes to inform other participants of this.

Our website uses functions provided by the website analysis service Google Analytics, Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Cookies are used for this, to enable analysis of website use by its users. The information obtained by this is sent to the provider’s servers and saved there. You can prevent this by setting your browser to not save cookies.
The provider is bound by an appropriate contract with us for this purpose of data processing. This processing is carried out within the framework of the legal conditions of § 96 Abs 3 TKG and Art 6 Abs 1 lit a (Einwilligung) and/or legitimate interests according to the GDPR. Our legitimate interests within the context of the GDPR are the improvement of our services offered and the presentation of our website. User data is retained for 38 months.
Duration of data retention/deletion deadline
Data is saved by www.bikefex.at for the duration of the legal relationship with the participant and also for the fulfilment of statutory obligations, in particular those related to taxation as specified by the BAO. In special cases, i.e. the duration of a legal dispute, data can be saved for a longer period.
We use external providers for this data processing. We pass your data on to the following categories of recipients:
- Hotels, for the purpose of contractual fulfilment/accommodation when required.
- Airlines, for the purpose of contractual fulfilment/conveyance.
- Partner agencies, for on-site communication and in possible cases of short-notice amendments to travel plans.
- Guides, for contractual fulfilment and/or running of events and/or safety measures in mountainous areas (telephone number).
- Newsletter software, see newsletter information below.
- Website hosting provider, www.hetzner.de
- Tax advisers, for adherence to statutory requirements.
The transferring of data is mainly carried out by email, as well as in paper form (tax advice) and in certain cases via WhatsApp (name and telephone number for guides).
Our newsletter is distributed using Newsletter2Go software. This means that your data is transferred to Newsletter2Go GmbH. Newsletter2Go is prohibited from selling this data and from using it for other purposes other than the sending of newsletters. Newsletter2Go is a certified, German supplier which was selected for compliance with data protection regulations and federal data protection legislation.
You are entitled at any time to withdraw your consent to the retaining of your data, your email address or its use for the sending of newsletters via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.
Statutory data protection measures are subject to regular technical renewal; for this reason we request that you regularly review our data protection measures by looking at our data protection statement.
WPML – Multilanguage plugin
While the plugin is used, WPML will share data relating to the site via the installer. This does not lead to any data about the user himself/herself being shared.
When visitors write comments on our website, we collect the data which is entered onto the comment form, and in addition the user’s IP address and the User-Agent string (this identifies the browser) in order to aid identification of spam.
An anonymised sequence of characters can be created from your email address (a ‘hash’) and transferred to the Gravatar service in order to ascertain whether you use this. You can find Gravatar’s data protection statement here. Once your comment has been accepted by our website administrator, your profile picture is visible in the context of your comment. If you do not use Gravatar, only the name you have entered and your email address are saved. Your email address is not published with your comment on our website.
Information about your right of appeal
